Dive into local culture with a food and market tour, followed by a guided visit to Monte Albán and Hierve el Agua. Participate in a cooking class, visit mezcal distilleries, and then travel to Puerto Escondido for beach relaxation, dolphin watching, and a sea turtle release. Finish the trip in Mexico City, exploring historical sites, local markets, and the Frida Kahlo Museum, concluding with a final group dinner.

Trip Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Oaxaca City

    Arrive in Oaxaca City and check in. Afternoon free time to acclimate to the city. Group Welcome Dinner.

  • Day 2 - Oaxaca City

    Explore the Benito Juárez and 20 de Noviembre markets. Sample local specialties like tlayudas and mole. Attend a mezcal tasting session.

  • Day 3 - Oaxaca City

    Take a guided tour of Monte Albán, Depart for Hierve el Agua, natural rock formations that resemble cascades of water.

  • Day 4 - Oaxaca City

    Market-to-table cooking class. Wander the Zócalo, enjoy the street performers, and grab a margarita at a sidewalk café.

  • Day 5 - Oaxaca City

    Day trip to visit two mezcal distilleries and an agave plantation. Taste up to 25 different mezcals, including artisanal, ancestral, and pechuga mezcals. And a Mezcal masterclass led by a certified maestro.

  • Day 6 - Puerto Escondido

    Travel to Puerto Escondido & Check into accommodation. Relax on the beach, swim, or explore the town at your own pace.

  • Day 7 - Puerto Escondido

    Depart for a dolphin watching cruise. Explore the local markets and beaches. Head to Bacocho Beach for the 5pm Baby Sea Turtle release and participate in saving the endangered sea turtle.

  • Day 8 - Puerto Escondido

    Free morning to enjoy Puerto Escondido. Experience the bioluminescence tour at Laguna de Manialtepec, a magical natural phenomenon.

  • Day 9 - Mexico City

    Travel from Puerto Escondido to Mexico City. Visit to the Chapultepec Castle in one of the largest city parks in the world.

  • Day 10 - Mexico City

    Head to the Zócalo, visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, National Palace, La Merced market visit, and Plaza Garibaldi. Visit the Tequila and Mezcal Museum and enjoy a guided tasting session.

  • Day 11 - Mexico City

    Spend the morning in Coyoacán. Visit the Frida Kahlo Museum. Return to the city center and explore the trendy areas of Roma and Condesa.
